When to Contact Your Veterinarian

Contact your vet immediately if your dog shows signs of an allergic reaction, such as swelling of the face, hives, or difficulty breathing. These are serious and require immediate attention.

Report any persistent vomiting or diarrhea lasting longer than 24 hours. Dehydration can quickly become a problem.

If you notice any unusual changes in your dog’s behavior, such as lethargy, loss of appetite, or increased thirst, schedule a veterinary appointment. These symptoms may indicate underlying issues.

Always contact your veterinarian if your dog’s condition doesn’t improve within 2-3 days of starting Augmentin. They can assess the treatment’s effectiveness and adjust the course as needed.

If you accidentally give your dog a significantly higher or lower dose than prescribed, call your vet right away for guidance.

Before starting Augmentin or any medication, discuss your dog’s medical history with your veterinarian, including any existing conditions or allergies.
