States with No Reciprocity with Idaho

Idaho’s concealed carry permit doesn’t automatically grant you the right to carry in several states. Currently, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and Washington D. C. don’t recognize Idaho’s concealed carry permits. This means you cannot legally carry a concealed firearm in these jurisdictions unless you obtain a separate permit from the state.

Before traveling to any of these states, carefully review their specific concealed carry laws. State laws change, so always consult the most up-to-date information from the relevant state authorities. Failing to comply could result in serious legal consequences.

Remember that even states with reciprocity might have specific restrictions on where you can carry. For example, some states may prohibit concealed carry in certain locations, such as schools or government buildings. Always check local ordinances.

Plan your travel accordingly. If you intend to travel to any of these states, consider leaving your firearm at home or exploring alternative means of legal firearm transport if necessary.
